According to The Federal Trade Commission, counterfeit check scams are on the rise.  Counterfeit checks can be very convincing, however, here are some resources to help prevent you from becoming victim to a scheme:

 

  • Fraud Test - Take tests designed to help determine if you may be in possession of a fraudulent check.
  • Fake Check Scams - Updates on the latest scams to keep you informed.
  • Federal Trade Commission - Consumer information posted by the FTC to detect fraudulent activities.
